Which video formats can I transcribe?
Common video files such as MP4 and MOV import directly on Mac and iPhone, alongside audio files like MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and OGG. ThinkScribe reads the audio track and builds the transcript from it.
Can I get SRT subtitles for YouTube?
Yes. Export SRT or VTT and upload it as the caption track on YouTube, Vimeo or your own player, or import the file into your video editor.
Is there a limit on video length?
No. A three-hour recording transcribes like a three-minute one, and there is no per-minute charge, because the work happens on your device.
Can it burn the captions into the video?
No, and it is not a video editor. ThinkScribe produces the transcript and the subtitle files; you add them to the video in your editor or on the platform you publish to.
Does it translate subtitles into another language?
No. ThinkScribe transcribes speech in the language it was spoken, across 90+ languages, but it does not translate between languages.
